The Hand Hygiene Europe website and trading name was established to provide a dedicated service to professionals working in the areas of infection control and hand hygiene training. Our products are widely used by healthcare professionals and infection control specialists working both in the NHS and private sector as well as in schools, universities, local authorities, food factories, charities and medical establishments.

Hand Hygiene Europe is a trading name of Food Safety Direct Limited which was established in 2004 in order to provide food safety enforcement officers and the food trade with a one-stop-shop for food hygiene equipment, clothing and training materials. As handing washing became more of a high profile issue, particularly with the publicity surrounding MRSA (superbug) so that side of our business also grew.

In 2008 the Company became the official European Distributor for GlitterBug Products produced by the Brevis Corporation. GlitterBug Potion and Powder are arguably the most well know and widely distributed products of their kind in the UK. As European Distributors we are now, not only in the position of being able to supply the end-user, but are also building up a network of sub-distributors to market our products across European Union countries.
